"Ugly Love" by "Colleen Hoover".

This is a romance fiction novel.
It's about two people, Tate and Miles, who are attracted to each other.
However, yes I said However, Tate doesn't have time for all this and what about Miles?
He couldn't show affection to her because of his Past.
And by that I mean he is facing his past trauma.
Tate is worried about him. She sometimes gets upset because he doesn't show her affection in return.

This story is I would say both on the scale of a Spectrum, sorrowful (heartreaking) and joyful.

Their chemistry isn't only about Love but about Understanding the other person, how past trauma can affect you and loss of love.

DEFINITELY recommended.

A few years back, when I was in secondary school, I used to get bullied a lot — and I don’t mean only mentally. I used to cry a lot. My days were miserable. I didn’t have the courage to fight or even say no. I was dependent on my friends, and they were supportive, but living like that wouldn’t change anything.
