Book Review: After the Funeral by Agatha Christie

Image
After the Funeral by Agatha Christie My rating: 3 of 5 stars Review: After The Funeral It's a detective fiction novel by Agatha Christie featuring Hercule Poirot (Her famous Detective Character). The story revolves around a family in which one man died suddenly. After his funeral, his relatives gather for the reading of his will. In all this, her sister made a comment that put the Family in panic and that was, 'it's been hushed up very nicely, hasn't it...But he was murdered, wasn't he?' Because of this, the Family asked Hercule Poirot to sort the case out. Sounds great tbh but unfortunately, it didn't catch my interest much as I found many words to search for the meanings. So,... Up to you as always...

Book Review: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Image
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen My rating: 5 of 5 stars Novel: Pride and Prejudice Author: Jane Austen Genre: Classic/Fiction/Literature/Romance In short; Elizabeth when met Darcy thought that Darcy was arrogant because of his attitude but as time passed Darcy began to fall in love with Elizabeth's intelligence and Elizabeth began to think of her Prejudiced view about Darcy. "Pride and Prejudice" is a novel written by the renowned English author Jane Austen one of her most loved works. It's also one of the most famous novels in English literature. It explores the themes of love, marriage, class distinction, and societal expectations. However, this was a challenging read as I find it slow-paced and many times difficult to understand. So I wrote about characters, and their relations with each other on rough paper and watched a summary of each chapter after reading one, which helped me a lot to grasp the context. Btw this was my first novel... No...

Book Review: Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke

Image
Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke My rating: 3 of 5 stars "Letter to a Young Poet" Letter to a Young Poet is composed of 10 letters written to Franz Xaver Kappus by Rainer Maria Rilke. Because Franz admired his work, he sought advice from Rainer Maria so he wrote letters to him. As an answer, Rainer Maria wrote letters in return to Franz advising aspects to ponder upon. Not particularly about the writing of Franz but of general things. However, you might find some of it difficult to grasp as you would think what's the idea being told here because it comprises only Rainer's letters to Franz but not Franz's letters to Rainer. So it contains only one side perspective and you have to grasp the idea of Franz's letters. This book is interesting in terms it giving younger aspirants of poetry a beautiful insight about their work. It's lovely as it tells you why SOLITUDE is an important characteristic of human nature. Thank You...

Book Review: Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

Image
Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover My rating: 5 of 5 stars "Ugly Love" by "Colleen Hoover". This is a romance fiction novel. It's about two people, Tate and Miles, who are attracted to each other. However, yes I said However, Tate doesn't have time for all this and what about Miles? He couldn't show affection to her because of his Past. And by that I mean he is facing his past trauma. Tate is worried about him. She sometimes gets upset because he doesn't show her affection in return. This story is I would say both on the scale of a Spectrum, sorrowful (heartreaking) and joyful. Their chemistry isn't only about Love but about Understanding the other person, how past trauma can affect you and loss of love. DEFINITELY recommended. Loved this...

The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank My rating: 4 of 5 stars My views on "Diary Of A Young Girl" by "Anne Frank". Anne Frank's family was Jewish. Her Father thought of making a decision as soon as possible to hide somewhere as they were in danger. He thought of his office's attic. They went there with a few other members as well. Where Anne started writing this diary to have some activity. She continued writing her diary with consistency. She also has written some letters before hiding. Anne shared about her life. Anne's letters are mainly thoughts, talking about the future, the past life, and the relationship with other members in the attic and with her family. I love the way that She addressed all of her letters to "Kitty" who is an imaginary friend o...
